Former Karnataka DGP Om Prakash Found Dead Under Mysterious Circumstances
The former DGP was found wounded at his house raising the suspicion of murder.

Former Karnataka DGP Om Prakash Found Dead: On Sunday, October 8, late in the morning, former Karnataka Director-General of Police Om Prakash was found dead in rather mysterious circumstances inside his residence located in the Bengaluru locality of HSR Layout, as indicated by police officials to PTI.

Injuries were visible on Prakash's body, giving rise to a suspicion that he had been murdered. Also, the police suspect a close family member may have played a role in the assassination of the former DGP.
The former DGP's death was realized when his wife, Pallavi, contacted the police. A quick response for the scene was initiated by senior police officials after they received word of the death.

The body of the former DGP was found on the ground floor of his three-storied house, lying in a pool of blood. The post-mortem has been ordered.
The police have initiated questioning of Prakash's wife and daughter in connection with his death. It is reported by PTI that the retired DGP had voiced concerns about threats to his life to some close associates.
The 68-year-old IPS officer from the 1981 batch, hailing from Champaran, Bihar, had a Master's in Geology. He was appointed DGP, Karnataka, on March 1, 2015.
The investigation into his death is yet to unfold.
