"He has been really sick in the last two days. We'll miss him today. Axar is two players and it's difficult to replace him. We'll see how it goes," Du Plessis said during the toss. Mumbai Indians changed things up by bringing in Mitchel Santner for Corbin Bosch.

Meanwhile, Wankhede is shrouded in the threat of rain, with the city experiencing significant rainfall over the past two days. The IMD has already a yellow alert for Mumbai, with rain accompanied by thunderstorm activity. In the points table, Mumbai Indians are currently fourth, with 14 points while Delhi Capitals are fifth with 13. Both teams have two games left.
