IndiGo to Launch Business Class on Busiest Routes in 2024: IndiGo in a statement announced that it will add business class seats to its planes this year to give passengers more choices as the demand for planes in India increases. It is a big step that will change the way business travel is done in India.
As per the statement, the business-class seats will be introduced on Indigo’s 18th anniversary
The news comes on the same day that Interglobe Aviation, which runs the IndiGo airline, reported a bigger-than-expected profit for the fourth quarter. It also comes soon after the company decided to buy 30 wide-body planes.
The official statement further added, “Considering India’s soaring economy and the evolving aspirations of Indian society, it’s time for IndiGo to redefine premium travel in India, increasing availability of this service for the nation. It will create a desired option for many who are aiming to travel business, perhaps for the first time in their lives”

The airline says that this service will be offered on the UK's busiest and most important business routes before the end of the year.
According to the reports Indigo currently regulates a total of 360 planes and offers over 1,500 flights daily.
Livemint reported that said CEO of IndiGo, Pieter Elbers,‘’ Over the past 18 years, India’s and IndiGo’s growth story have been closely interlinked. We believe as India gears up to become the third largest economy in the world, it’s our privilege to provide the New India even more options to choose from as they travel business.”
In Indigo's Q4 result, Indigo profit was increased by 26.7% to ₹18,505.1 crores which was the company's biggest total profit for the year ending on March at ₹71,231.16 crore.
However, more information about the products, start date, and routes will be released in August.
