Ideal IPR Protection Pvt Ltd and UP Police Counterfeit Aqualite Slippers Raid in Godown
Aqualite made an inquiry to the Ideal IPR Protection Pvt Ltd, a company that has been engaged to enforce intellectual property rights.
A police operation in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh led to the dismantling of a counterfeit operation which was used purportedly trading under the well-known brand Aqualite. The covert counterfeit operation was uncovered when Aqualite Industrial Company Pvt Ltd was alerted to the counterfeit trade in the district.

The Khorabar police station recorded a case and sent two Indian Civil Protection Code Sections 63 and 65. The Ideal IPR Protection Pvt Ltd acted quickly, after verifying leads during the initial investigation with the representative of Aqualite, working alongside the police determined to dismantle the operations.
The company Ideal IPR Protection Pvt Ltd was able to arrange multiple raids with the coordination of the local police.

During this continued operation, law enforcement officers led by Sub-Inspector Manoj Kumar, constables Amit Singh and Mahendra Prasad Yadav arrived at a location in Ker Subabazar Tunnel. Their aim was to apprehend a Surendra Yadav, who was caught in the act and found with a large number of counterfeit slippers and other fake products (as branded by Aqualite) at the premises. The total value of products seized ran into the lakhs making it a considerable find for the company and law enforcement agencies.
This operation exemplifies the ongoing issues of counterfeit products in the marketplace, as well as the value of partnership between the business sector and law enforcement when it comes to consumer protection and brand integrity.
