Gold and Silver Rates Today On September 23: After rising significantly on the previous day, the gold rate today in India has slightly decreased.
On Monday, September 23 the 22-carat gold rate today is priced at Rs 69,590 per 10 grams while the 24-carat gold rate stands at Rs 75,920 per 10 grams.
The 22-carat gold price today has decreased by Rs 10 in the last 24 hours while the gold price for 24-carat today also went down by Rs 10 compared to the previous day's gold rate.
Yesterday, the gold price for 22-carat was valued at Rs 69,600 per gram while the 24-carat gold rate was priced at Rs 75,930 per gram.
The silver rate today in India stands at Rs 92,900 per kilogram, the silver price today has decreased by Rs 100 against the previous day’s price.
Furthermore, the 22-carat gold price per gram is valued at Rs 6,976 and the 24-carat gold price stands at Rs 7,609 per gram.
On MCX, gold futures contracts maturing on October 2024 were trading at Rs 74,014 per 10 grams, with a hike of Rs 576. While the silver futures contracts maturing on September 2024 on MCX futures were trading at Rs 90,080 per kg with a hike of Rs 112.

The last big fluctuation in gold and silver rates was noted in July after the announcement of the Union Budget by the Indian government.
The Union Budget which was introduced on the 23rd of July reduced the excise duty taxes which are imposed on gold and silver rate from 15% to 6%, this caused the gold rate in India to decline by Rs 4,000 on the next day.
