Not for a controversial tweet, but what seems to be a morphed image of Usha Vance. A few days ago, Ivanka posted a tribute to Usha Vance, wife of U.S. Vice President JD Vance, praising her as a "brilliant and accomplished attorney" known for her intelligence and grace. But, as you would have it, the image she used had a Deepika Padukone connection.

What was meant as a post to highlight Usha’s professional achievements and support for her husband turned into a complete memefest, considering Ivanka seems to have accidentally used an edited image of Usha.

The image, meant to celebrate Usha’s achievements, showed her in a breathtaking white saree with intricate ruffled details and an elaborate pearl collar. However, Bollywood eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice that the outfit looked eerily familiar. It was almost identical to actress Deepika Padukone's iconic look from the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.

Upon closer inspection, it became clear that the image had been digitally edited, with Usha's face superimposed onto Deepika's body.

The internet, being what it is, didn't let this fashion faux pas go unnoticed. Under the post, one user commented, "Usha is lovely. However, the photo you’ve shown is Deepika Padukone at Cannes in 2022." Another also claimed, "She is Deepika Padukone!" Others speculated that the image might be AI-generated.

Social media was flooded with reactions, with one user pointing out, "That's Deepika Padukone, the leading actress of India," while another commented, "This photo is from the Cannes Film Festival where Deepika was one of the jury members."

An individual posted, “Absolutely stunning. And look into her eyes…genuine.” Another added, “Usha is lovely. However, the photo you have shown is of Deepika Padukone and at Cannes in 2022.”

A third posted, “What a gorgeous dress to adorn a very beautiful woman.” A fourth wrote, “This is popular and one of the best actresses of India, Deepika Padukone. This photo is from the Cannes Film Festival, where Deepika was one of the judges.”

Usha Vance has recently made headlines, and all because of Donald Trump. The president of the United States, while talking about her controversial trip to Greenland, seemed to forget the second lady’s name. She and Mike Waltz, the US national security adviser, are set to visit the region on March 27, a trip that is not being seen favourably by the Greenlanders.
