Boney Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor Inaugurate Sridevi Kapoor Chowk in Mumbai’s Lokhandwala
Sridevi gets a Chowk in Lokhandawala, Mumbai. Boney and Khushi get emotional as they unveil it on Dussehra, Shabana Azmi was also present.

Boney Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor Inaugurate Sridevi Kapoor Chowk: Sridevi gets a chowk in Lokhandawala, Mumbai. Boney and Khushi get emotional as they unveil it on Dussehra. Shabana Azmi was also present.
Boney and Khushi named the road junction after her. Pictures and videos are out. In a video posted by a paparazzo on Instagram, Boney is seen pulling back the cloth from a picture of Sridevi. Boney touches Sridevi’s picture while Khushi stands beside him looking emotional. The stone says Sridevi Kapoor Chowk.
It was on October 12 at 6 pm. Shabana was also present. The chowk is located near Sridevi’s old residence, Green Acres Tower, where she stayed for many years before passing away in 2018. The place is sentimental and Boney and Khushi were overwhelmed with the crowd that gathered at one point. Janhvi didn’t attend the inauguration.

The chowk is named Sridevi Kapoor Chowk. The pictures show Boney lifting a red curtain to unveil Sridevi’s picture. Boney is wearing a blue kurta and Khushi is wearing a grey top and black pants.
Sridevi was called the ‘first female superstar’ of Indian cinema. She made her debut in 1967 with the Tamil film Kandhan Karunai when she was just 4 years old. She worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi films in her 50 year long career. Her last film was Mom with Akshaye Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddique. She also had a cameo in Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero which was released after her death.

Sridevi passed away on February 24, 2018 in a bathtub at a hotel in Dubai. She was attending a family wedding when she accidentally drowned. Janhvi has spoken about her mother in many interviews since then. Both the sisters are carrying on her legacy by acting. Janhvi was last seen in her first Telugu film Devara: Part 1 and Khushi debuted with the OTT film The Archies.
