BJP 5th List of LS Candidates Revealed: A list of candidates for the Lok Sabha Election 2024 was released by the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) on Sunday. There were 111 candidates on the list, including Dharmendra Pradhan, Arun Govil, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Maneka Gandhi, etc.
This time, the saffron party has nominated Kangana Ranaut from Mandi. Arun Govil will run in Meerut, K Surendran in Wayanad, Arjun Singh in Barrackpur as well as newly-hired Naveen Jindal in Kurukshetra. Ashwini Choubey has been dropped from Buxar by the party.
Sita Soren, who joined the BJP a few days ago, will also run in Dumka. Sultanpur will be represented by Maneka Gandhi, while Mednipur will be represented by Agnimitra Paul.
Union Minister Ashwini Choubey has been dropped from Buxar, Varun Gandhi from Philibhit, Rajvir Singh Diler from Hathras, Satyadev Pachauri from Kanpur, Sanghmitra Maurya from Badayun, Rajendra Agarwal from Meerut, Santosh Gangwar from Bareli, and VK Singh from Ghaziabad, among others.
BJP nominated former Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan from Kanyakumari as part of its third list, along with Union Minister L Murugan from Nilgiris.
According to the party, Vinoj P Selvam will run for Chennai Central, A C Shanmugam for Vellore, C Narasimhan for Krishnagiri, and Nainar Nagendran for Tirunelveli.
The first phase of voting for the 39 Lok Sabha seats in the state will take place on April 19. BJP did not win a single seat in Tamil Nadu in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
There are 72 more BJP candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, including Union ministers Nitin Gadkari, Piyush Goyal, and Anurag Singh Thakur, as well as former chief ministers Manohar Lal Khattar, Trivendra Singh Rawat, and Basavaraj Bommai.
Anil Baluni, BJP spokesperson and Rajya Sabha member, has been fielded from Garhwal in Uttarakhand.
In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Tejasvi Surya will run from Bengaluru South as the chief of the BJP's youth wing.
