Assembly Elections 2024: Assembly elections in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, and Arunachal Pradesh will all end on Saturday, June 1. However, voting for the fourth phase of the Odisha elections and the seventh phase of the Lok Sabha elections ahs already going on.
Exit polls are released after the election is over to know about how people feel and what they want right after they give their votes.
Exit polls happen right after voting is done and give predictions about possible winners. On election days, these polls are released to give a sense of how people feel.
The Election Commission of India has announced that media channels, newspapers, and other can't reveal the exit polls until 6 p.m and no predictions on behalf of the election results should be released.
When will the news channels will stream exit polls?
Around 6:30 or 7:00 pm on Saturday, most of the news channels will start to show their predictions.
Also, live streaming will be held on various platforms such as YouTube. In India, the Exit polls are usually streamed by Chanakya, CVoter, MyAxis India, and others.
Other channels such as ABP Network, Times Now, India Today, Aaj Tak, Zee News, TV9 Bharatvarsh, and others.
The 147-member Odisha assembly voting was being held in four stages, with the last stage taking place on June 1.
The 175-member Andhra Pradesh assembly voting was held in a single phase on May 13 and for the Sikkim assembly, the 32-member and 60-member Arunachal Pradesh assembly were held in a single phase on April 19.
