AAP Leader Arvind Kejriwal Finally Granted Bail: After continuous appeals from the AAP Party for the bail of Arvind Kejriwal, finally, on Friday the Supreme Court granted interim bail to Arvind Kejriwal till June 1.
Arvind Kejriwal Party sought bail till July after the election when the new government was formed, but the court said that the decision to extend his bail date till July will be heard in the following week.
The court even hinted on its previous hearing on May 7, Tuesday that it will grant bail to Arvind Kejriwal on its next hearing on May 10.
On the Supreme Court remark, the ED submitted its statement that giving ‘criminal’ politician bail would mean creating a different class, “"The right to campaign for an election is not a fundamental, constitutional or legal right,” also ED was expected to submit their first chargesheet today.

During the hearing on May 10, the court further said, "For one-and-a-half years he was there... he could have been arrested before or after (the election) also. Whatever it is, 21 days here or there should not make any difference."
The court judges Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Dipankar Datta also noted that the conditions of Arvind Kejriwal's bail are similar to what Sanjay Singh was in that he is only allowed to contest for his party (AAP).
Also, on Tuesday's hearing the judges Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Dipankar Datta considered Arvind Kejriwal not as a “habitual offender” but as a Delhi Chief Minister.
Arvind Kejriwal who was arrested on March 21 for the money laundering case, was accused of receiving crores of money and now has been released till June 2 to campaign for the AAP for the Lok Sabha Election 2024.
After his release, Sanjay Singh, a spokesman for AAP said on X, “Truth can be troubled but not defeated. The decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court is welcome. The dictatorship will end. Satyamev Jayate. The country will see the wonders of Kejriwal."
