Amit Shah to Address Rallies in Tripura and Violence-Hit Manipur Today: As part of the BJP's campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, Jaipur Welcomes Amit Shah, Amit Shah arrived in Agartala, Tripura at 9 pm on Sunday and spent the night. On Monday, April 15, Shah will address public rallies in Tripura before traveling to Manipur.
“Amit Shah ji arrived in the state on Sunday night and will address an election rally for our candidate in the Tripura East Lok Sabha seat at Kumarghat in Unakoti district on Monday,” BJP state general secretary Amit Rakshit told news agency PTI.

There is a meeting between the chief minister Manik Saha, the chief of Tipra Motha Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma, IPFT president Prem Kumar Reang, and the nominee of the BJP for Tripura East.

Amit Shah plans to campaign for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Manipur following his poll rally in Tripura. Later today, he will fly to Imphal and meet with Manipur's chief minister, N Biren Singh, and the Manipur BJP president, A Sharda Devi.
Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, a BJP leader and Union Minister of State for External Affairs, currently represents the seat. There has been no candidate fielded by the saffron party in Outer Manipur, but it will support the candidates fielded by its ally, the Naga People's Front.
There are 32 assembly constituencies in the conflict-scarred Imphal valley of Inner Manipur.
After a tribal solidarity march to protest against the majority Meitei community's demand for Scheduled Tribe status in May last year, ethnic violence broke out in Manipur.
The violence in Manipur has claimed over 200 lives and displaced thousands of people since May last year. On April 13, two men were killed at the border between Kangpokpi and Imphal East districts.
