“Alia has started shooting for Alpha on July 5th. The film presents her in a never-seen-before avatar. She has trained for about four months to prepare herself to play a super agent. She has five to six major action sequences in the film and she needs to be at her fittest best. Alia has pushed her body to a breaking point because she has to look ruthless on screen.” Shared by a source close to the Hindustan Times.

Alia Bhatt had the role of super-agent in Alpha, as she is the first female-led YRF Spy Universe film. The director of the film is Shiv Rawail, who has previously directed a film that was YRF’s globally hit and consistently acclaimed Netflix series The Railway Men which was inspired by the events of the Bhopal Gas Tragedy.

Alia Bhatt announced on her Instagram handle that the shooting for the much-awaited movie has finally begun, earlier last week.

In the clip, it shows ‘Alpha’ written on it with Alia’s voiceover saying, “Greek alphabet ka sabse pehle akshar aur hamare program ka motto. Sabse pehle, sabse tez, sabse veer. Dhyaan se dekho toh har shahar mein ek jungle hai aur har jungle mein raaj karega ek Alpha (The first alphabet of the Greek language and our motto – first, fastest and courageous. If you see, every city is a jungle and every jungle is ruled by an Alpha)”.
