70-Year-Old UK Woman 48-Year-Old Stunt Rider Job Application Finally Returns Home

UK woman stunt rider application story: A 70-year-old woman job application returns home after 50 years. Tizi Hodson, a UK applicant, applied for a motorbike stunt rider in 1976 but got no reply.

As per the official report, Tizi Hodson who lives in Lincolnshire wrote a letter in January 1976 for the job as a motorbike stunt rider. After five decades, the 48 years old job application returns UK and was found behind a drawer in a post office.

Hudson said that she was shocked to see the job application letter after 48 years, she added that the letter return was "amazing". She told BCC, "I always wondered why I never heard back about the job. Now I know why.”

Tizi Hodson couldn’t get her dream job but she managed to make a living as a snake handler, horse whisperer, aerobatic pilot, and flying teacher.

Though she wrote the 48 years ago, she still remembers the day when she wrote the job application letter.

She told BCC, "I remember very clearly sitting in my flat in London typing the letter. Every day I looked for my post but there was nothing there and I was so disappointed because I really, really, wanted to be a stunt rider on a motorcycle.”

Hodson added that receiving the letter after decades helped her realize about the advice she would give to her younger self.

She further told BCC, "If I could speak to my younger self, I would tell her to go and do everything I’ve done. I’ve had such a wonderful time in life, even if I have broken a few bones.”

Hodson said the letter was sent to her along with a note that said, "Late delivery by Staines Post Office. Found behind a draw [sic]. Only about 50 years late."

The letter didn’t have any name of the sender or address, she added, "How they found me when I’ve moved house 50-odd times, and even moved countries four or five times, is a mystery.”
