Social media such as X (previously Twitter) were filled with smart, nostalgic and sarcastic messages celebrating the birth of the country.
The American Revolutionary War broke out in 1775 when thirteen countries in the USA turned against the British monarchy under King George III by plunging into rebellion. The conflict was based on a bid to end repressive British policies as well as to have self-rule.

The colonies did not want to be controlled and they began a fierce battle to gain independence. The Congress made a secret vote on July 2, 1776 to separate with Britain, thus essentially forming a new, independent nation.
On July 4, 1776, two days later, the final version of the Declaration of Independence received the approval and was published.
Becoming the cornerstone of Americas democracy, the powerful document, which described the rights of colonies to freedom and stated the reasons to separate, provided the breeding ground of the American democracy.

The Declaration was publicly read for the first time on July 8, 1776 four days after its adoption. The formality of signing of the Continental Congress by the delegates was later however, on August 2, 1776.
The fourth of July is observed in the country with a lot of pride and enthusiasm. The population is participating in parades, having fun at wild concerts and fireworks events, spreading dedicatory messages, and celebrating with relatives and friends. During the holiday being a federal holiday, all schools, government offices and financial markets stay closed and everyone has a chance to enjoy the typical partying as much as possible.
