Heavy rain and floods triggered by a low-pressure system affecting thousands of people. 19 people have died, and over 17,000 have been evacuated from several parts of Andra Pradesh and Telangana.

Due to heavy rains and waterlogging over the tracks at various locations on the South Central Railway, several trains have been diverted. The railway track near Intakanne railway station connecting Kesamudram and Intakanne was washed away by the rain.
Passengers are stranded at Vijayawada Railway Station as the trains were canceled. Heavy rain has washed away the embankment under the railway tracks which became the reason for the train cancellations. Restoration work on the railway tracks is underway.
The meteorological department has forecast four-day thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by heavy rains in several parts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana's Revanth Reddy and ensured the most help they can provide to deal with the situation from the central government.

Twenty-six National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams are being had been deployed by the government. Flood relief and rescue operations are being carried out by NDRF. Central government aid came this morning to the affected places. Volunteers and officials have started to distribute food and relief materials and collaborate with NGOs and religious institutions, for efficient distribution of supplies.
9 people have lost their lives on the report and over 17,000 have been evacuated from several areas of Andra Pradesh and Telangana. "It's not raining now. But due to the flood houses have been damaged. People have been rescued. Food relief has been provided. Rehabilitation work is also underway" said Congress MP Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy.
14 medical relief camps have been set up to distribute emergency medicine kits. Doctors have been deployed for 247 service, and food and other relief aids are also being distributed.
