Hyderabad College Principal, Staff Booked After Students Allege Secret Filming in Washrooms

Hyderabad College: The arrests of two individuals, as well as the filing of a case against the principal of CM R College on Sunday, January 5, follow a series of allegations by female students against kitchen staff who were accused of filming them while in hostel washrooms. Further investigations are now underway into the incident.
Two were nabbed in the case: Nanda Kishore Kumar, and Govind Kumar-whom- both aged 20 years-and are natives of Bihar, reported Telangana Today.

The arrests are the outcome of student protests on January 1, 2, within the CMR College, a private institution located in Kandlakoya village in Medchal district, Hyderabad. According to a report by PTI, such has been the extent of action that police officials, Seven other people including the arrestees belong to the faculty also named against the principal, director and chairman of the institution.
Medchal police station has also filed a case under the POCSO act, with clauses on voyeurism, abetment and relevant applied IPC sections.
Revealed story of Hyderabad college incident
According to reports, the two arrested used to stay near the girls' hostel building, and would often spy on the female students of the college.

“Kishore and Govind were staying near the girl’s hostel building and used to regularly peep into the ladies' washroom. The girls informed about the incident to the wardens who did not take the matter seriously,” Medchal Inspector, A Satyanarayana told Telangana Today.
The chairman and principal of CMR College have put extra pressure on wardens to hide and shield CMR College's reputation.
“Narayana, Janga Reddy and Gopal Reddy tried to hush up the issue to protect the reputation of the college. They had provided accommodation to the two people near the girl’s hostel which gave Kishore and Govind easy access to the washrooms. The irresponsible behaviour of the college principal, director and chairman abetted the act of Kishore and Govind,” said the official, stated a report by Telangana Today.
Protests commenced at the CMR College about January1-2 after girl students alleged that they had been filmed, and the videos were circulated online.
