Yuvraj Singh message to Abhishek Sharma: The former iconic cricketer Yuvraj Singh commented on Abhishek Sharma's Instagram post to give me a stern warning after Abhishek Sharma was run out in the first game of the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh in Gwalior on Sunday.
After a fascinating IPL 2024 season, Abhishek Sharma made his first international appearance with a 47-ball 100 in the T20I series against Zimbabwe. He continued where he left off when he made a roaring start against Bangladesh to chase a 128 target.
The 24-year-old batter was knocked out in 7 balls and scored only 16 runs after a mix-up with opener Sanju Samson. After guiding the ball to mid-wicket, the latter quickly turned down the single but Abhishek was still way far from the crease when Towhid Hridoy’s direct hit took his wicket.

India secured the victory against Bangladesh because of good performance from Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya. Later, Abhishek posted pictures from the first T20I against Bangladesh on his Instagram handle and captioned it, "Every run, every ball–it’s all for the team.”
Yuvraj reacted to the post by saying, “Only if we apply our brains properly."
In a video, Abhishek Sharma told BCCI.tv, “I spoke to him (Yuvraj) yesterday and he said I don’t know why but he was very happy when I was out on zero. He said that’s a good start. I think he must be very proud of me just like my family.”
He further said, “I am playing at this level because of him. The hard work he has put on me. For the past two, three years he has really worked hard not only on my cricket even off the field as well.”
