Defence Minister Rajnath Singh had to face angry voters during a rally in Uttar Pradesh. When he was campaigning for the BJP in Gonda in Uttar Pradesh, youngsters shouted and raised their voices for jobs in the Indian Army.
The BJP has also promised to offer jobs in its manifesto in Uttar Pradesh from each member of the family if it retains the power.
To pacify the angry voters, Singh assured that the Indian Army will very soon start the recruitment process. Defence Minister was caught off guard when he started addressing the youths and he had to hear demands like Sena bharti chalu karo (Start recurring people in Indian Army) and "hamari maange poori karo (fulfil our demand).
Stuck in an unexpected situation, Singh tried to convince the voters that government will do it as soon as possible as he said from the stage, “hogi hogi (It will be done).”
He went on to pacify the voters by explaining the government’s problem and said that government is concerned about youngsters and as the country has suffered a lot due to Covid-19, these problems have come up due to that.
Then he asked all the gathering to chant Bharat Mata Ki Jai and they all started doing that. Very soon, he changed the topic and started making poll promises in which he said that government will distribute free LPG cylinders in the state on festivals such as Holi and Deepawali.
