11th evening of cultural programs of the 2nd edition
of Kashi Tamil Sangamam

Varanasi : The eleventh evening of cultural programs of the 2nd edition of Kashi-Tamil Sangamam witnessed nine cultural performances from Kashi and Tamil Nadu.
On Thursday evening, performances of classical and folk dances and songs and musical instrumental performances from both the states made the Namo Ghat environment enthralling. All the delegates looked rejuvenated after enjoying the cultural programs organized on the banks of Mother Ganga. The cultural evening of the 2nd edition of Kashi Tamil Sangamam has been organized by North Central Zone Cultural Center Prayagraj and South Zone Cultural Center Thanjavur, Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
As a special guest Prof. (Dr.) T. G. Sitaram, Chairman, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) participated in the cultural program in the 2nd edition of Kashi Tamil Sangamam. He also visited the stalls set up at the venue.
Delegates sitting at Namo Ghat were mesmerized with the cultural performances
Rahul Rohit Mishra and his team from Banaras Gharana introduced the audience to the mythology and sanctity of Mother Ganga by performing on the classical song ‘Gange’. The next performance was by Shri Hari Paudiyal and his team from Varanasi. After taking the stage, they presented instrumental music. The people sitting on the ghat were soaked with devotion to Mother Ganga.
Other Presentations on Thursday at Namo Ghat
Shri P. Mahendrian and his team gave an astounding performance on Oyalattam, Urumi, Naiyandimelam while Shri T. Gokul with his team performed on Pambai, Kai Silambatam, Kavadiyattam. Tamil artists also presented many amazing feats in this genre. Master A. Madhavarman and his team of dancers performed on Bharatanatyam. Smt. S Jayathi and her team also performed ‘Thapattam’, ‘Karagam’. The final and ninth presentation was by Bharani who performed Sivan, Parvati and Samayattam.
