Yogi government's gift to Gorakhpur, UP's first State Institute of Hotel Management will be established
The land Gorakhpur has been selected for this. Yogi Adityanath directed to expedite the action regarding the establishment of the institute.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Sunday that the state government has decided to set up an Institute of Hotel Management in Gorakhpur. The Chief Minister has also directed the formation of an 'Eco Tourism Board' to give shape to the immense potential of 'eco tourism' in the state. Reviewing the works of the Tourism Department, the Chief Minister said that in view of the immense potential in the field of tourism, the State Government has decided to set up 'State Institute of Hotel Management' in a huge six-acre campus at Gorakhpur.
Yogi said that to give impetus to 'eco tourism', departments like tourism, irrigation, forest, Ayush and rural development will have to make a united effort and for this it would be appropriate to constitute an 'eco tourism board' in the state. He talked about giving place to the ministers of the concerned departments, Additional Chief Secretary/Principal Secretary, Director General/Director as well as experts in the board and said that the tourism department should be made its nodal department. He also directed to give place to a qualified officer of the Indian Forest Service in the board and to complete the process of formation of the board at the earliest.
Yogi said that today Uttar Pradesh is becoming a confluence of nature, culture and adventure with coordinated efforts. According to an estimate, 35 per cent of the tourists visiting the holidays are more likely to book an 'eco-holiday', thereby promoting 'global eco-tourism'.
According to an official statement issued on Sunday, the Chief Minister said that a concrete action plan should be prepared for the holistic development of the holy land of Chauri-Chaura (Gorakhpur) mass movement, which gave a new direction to the Indian independence movement. A picture/statue of the martyred fighters should be established here. Permanent stalls of ODOP (One District - One Product) products of all 75 districts should also be set up here. Yogi said that this area should be made more attractive through mural paintings. These efforts will also generate employment for the local people and the new generation will also be able to get acquainted with its glorious history.
