Woman throws her baby to safety from burning building in South Africa
Video of woman throwing baby to safety from burning building amid South Africa riots goes viral

A video showing a mother threw her 2 years old toddler to safety as they escaped a burning high-rise building in South African city of Durban during protests has gone viral.
Naledi Manyoni, mother, 26 years old, hurdled the girl from first floor into the arms of people standing below as the smoke surrounded them. “All I could do was to trust complete strangers that they would catch the girl and keep her safe, I had no choice”, she said.
Mayoni recalled outside the building as her daughter sat on her shoulders, she kept saying “Mamma you threw me down there”, she was scared. After throwing her, I held my head in shock, but caught her. What was important was for my daughter to be out of that situation, I couldn’t escape alone and leave her behind, she told to Reuters.
Number of people have been killed in South Africa and hundreds of people arrested in riots, following the jailing of Former President Jacob Zuma last week for failing to appear for a corruption enquiry. The Protests, which started in Zuma’s home province KwaZulu Natal on Saturday, soon turned into mass looting, fire-raising and riots in Durban and Johannesburg.
