Woman thrashed on giving Birth to a daughter, Accused in-laws including her husband; crime recorded on camera

In the Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh, a woman has been punished for not giving birth to a son. Her husband and in-laws brutally thrashed the woman for giving birth to two daughters. A video of this incident has surfaced, in which it is clearly visible that two women in her in-law's house are thrashing the victim woman with kicks and punches in the middle of the way in front of the house. During this, both the women are abusing him and refuse to cry.
It is seen in the video that both the women used to hit the victim sometimes with a punch and sometimes with a kick. Sometimes grabbing her hair and pulling. The woman has alleged that due to having two daughters, her husband and in-laws used to beat and torture her repeatedly, proclaiming they wanted a son.
The woman said, "My husband and in-laws harassed me for not having a son. When I gave birth to another daughter, their harassment escalated." The woman has accused her in-laws of starving her several times, after which she started working as a laborer.
Police have said that a case has been registered in the matter and an investigation is going on. Mahoba Superintendent of Police Sudha Singh said, "The victim woman has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. We have registered an FIR. Appropriate action will be taken against the accused."
