Woman Buys Single Strawberry for ₹1,600 at Luxury Grocery Store: A woman decided to splurge on $19 or ₹1,650 to buy a single strawberry at a luxury grocery store, also called Erewhon, where she and many other celebrities, like the Kardashians, Justin Bieber, Brooklyn Beckham, love shopping.

Influencer Alyssa Antoci ventured to the Los Angeles store, walking out with a single strawberry in a special plastic cup and flaunting it to her followers on TikTok.

According to reports, Elly Amai's 'organic single berry' is said to have been imported from Kyoto, Japan - the company even claims that since it only sells the best fruits-from-Japan's-most celebrated farms'.

Upon her friend's advice, 21-year-old influencer decided to make a taste experiment on this extravagant berry while seated outside the Erewhon store and recording herself. "This is a $19 strawberry from Erewhon and apparently it's like the best tasting strawberry in the entire world," she said, unboxing the contents, one will find that a single red strawberry is mounted on a tray which can be used as a handle to eat it.

She took a bite of the expensive fruit and remarked: "Wow. That's the best strawberry. That's crazy. Yeah, that is the best strawberry I've ever had - in my life. For one strawberry, $19 for one strawberry. I need to eat every last bit of it," she said.

It isn't the only incident where a grocery store has sold an extravagant food item, the kind which gets the attention of the entire internet. Indeed, the things in this store are so priced that Erewhon has even given its online customers an option to avail themselves of making interest-free installments of $12.50 price.

Internet was baffled by the purchase of this woman, with a user claiming, "Eating this strawberry is equivalent to that guy spending millions on a duct tape banana just to eat it. My mind cannot see the difference." Another said that "If I paid $19 for a single strawberry, I'd be crying the whole video."
