Criticising fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee for his disputed new mangalsutra collection publicity, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra warned that he can take legal proceeding against the designer if the advertisement isn't removed among twenty four hours.
“Fashion designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s mangalsutra ad is extremely objectionable and hurtful,” Mishra tweeted on Sunday. “If the objectionable advertisement isn't removed at intervals twenty four hours, action are taken against him.
The promotional photoshoot for the new collection has been wide criticised for that includes models carrying the mangalsutra whereas sitting solo or in intimate positions with others.
“I say that in your promotional social media posts that includes models move solo or in intimate positions with others. In one picture, a feminine model is seen sporting a black bra and Sabyasachi’s mangalsutra as her head rests on a shirtless male model is completely outrageous to the whole Hindu community further as Hindu Marriage,” the notice read. the posh mangalsutra is formed of 18k gold with black chalcedony and pearls.
