Why are Hindu religious leaders making objectionable speeches?
An another incident, a religious leader, who belongs to Maharasthra has praised Nathuram Godse who had killed Gandhi.

Many cases of Hindu religious leaders making inflammatory speeches have started coming to light. Opposition parties say that these remarks are being deliberately made to polarise votes during forthcoming elections in many states.
In a recent case a Hindu religious leader, Kalicharan Maharaj has been arrested from Madhya Pradesh for insulting Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation and making objectionable remarks against the religion of Islam.
He belongs to Maharasthra and during a religious gathering in Raipur, the state capital of Chhatisgarh, he praised Nathuram Godse who had killed Gandhi. He said that Gandhi destroyed the whole country and praised Godse for killing him. He also said that the aim of Islam is to capture the nation through politics.
Soon after making these inflammatory and provocative remarks, its video clips were starting circulating on social media and after some time it went viral. A Congress leader Pramod Dubey filed the police case which was later converted into an FIR. Dubey had also attended the function.
After the FIR was lodged and the Raipur police started searching for him, Kalicharan did everything to avoid his arrest. He didn’t stay at the place where he had booked a room. His close aides had also switched off all mobile phones so that his location couldn’t be tracked down.
However, on December 30, a team of 10 policemen tracked down his location in Khajuraho where he was hiding and arrested him. He was brought to Raipur from there.
After his arrest, the Madhya Pradesh government has alleged that Chhattisgarh police violated the inter-state protocol in his arrest which the Chhattisgarh CM has denied.
