WHO says Covaxin to be cleared in October

A decision on Bharat Biotech’s submission getting emergency use listing for its Covaxin Coiv-19 vaccine will be made in October said World Health Organisation. The assessment for Covaxin is in process. He submitted EOI on 19th April for its vaccine. The current status of Covid-19 vaccines within the WHO EUL/PQ evaluation process guidance document dated 29th September on the WHO website said that the decision date for Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin is October 2021.

WHO told it began rolling data of the vaccine on 6th July. The duration of the emergency use listing process depends on the quality of the data submitted by the vaccine manufacturer, according to the agency.

Bharat Biotech said it submitted all data which has Covaxin to EUL and I waiting for the feedback from the global health watchdog.
