When Prince Harry Revealed Why the Royal Family Thought His Relationship with Meghan Markle Wouldn’t Last

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Relationship: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle earlier revealed that the family of the Duke of Sussex and close friends have confusion and doubt about their relationship. In a Netflix show, Harry said that some of their family members and close friends thought that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's relationship would not last long and also said that one thing "clouded their judgment.”

In the second episode of the show, the couple talked about Meghan meeting the royal family for the first time. Harry noted that his family was very “impressed” after meeting Meghan. Harry’s family joked that they couldn't believe that a “ginger” like Harry could get such a beautiful woman.

Harry also noted that as Meghan is an American actor, the royal family had their judgment clouded because of her status. Meghan also claimed that her job was "the biggest problem".

Prince Harry added, "I remember my family first meeting her and being incredibly impressed. Some of them didn't quite know what to do with themselves. So I think they were. They were surprised. They were surprised that such a ginger could land such a beautiful woman. And such an intelligent woman.”

Harry further added, “But the fact that I was dating an American actress, was probably what clouded their judgment more than anything else. Oh, she's an American actress, this won't last long."

Meghan also said that her job was the biggest problem, adding “The actress thing was the biggest problem, funnily enough. There is a big idea of what that looks like from the UK standpoint - Hollywood - and it's just very easy for them to typecast that.”
