How to use the Voice notes for Status Update?

It is the same as sending voice messages to other people, just difference is that the voice message will be uploaded as a status update.

• To use it you will have to first update your Whatsapp app and then go to the Update tab section.
• Then you will have to click on the pen area at the bottom to go to a new page for status.
• Then you will have to tap and hold the mic button to record your status update voice.
• If you want to change the background color after you're done recording, click on the palette icon at the top.
• After you are done with editing then click on the send button to post your status, everyone in your contact list whether they are your friends or family will be able to hear your voice notes.

Furthermore, WhatsApp is trying to add the feature of changing the theme color as tests are ongoing.

However, this changing theme color option will also allow users to change the color of your chat bubbles. Another speculation is that WhatsApp is also expected to add the Lock chat feature in linked devices.
