What does Dumping Syndrome mean?
It is caused by rapid gastric emptying, a condition where food moves too quickly from your stomach to your duodenum, which causes symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, and fatigue after a meal.
Usually, this condition affects people who have had stomach or oesophageal surgery.
In contrast, Diddee used to have really small meals, but she suffered from the aforementioned symptoms due to her lack of stomach.
Approximately three out of twenty people who have had a part of their stomach removed experience dumping syndrome. There are two types, early and late dumping syndrome.
A meal is drained early 10-30 minutes after eating, and a meal is drained late 1-3 hours after eating.
Does dumping syndrome have a cure?
A good chance of easing your symptoms with dietary changes is possible when you have early dumping syndrome.
Symptoms may improve with diet changes, octreotide (Sandostatin) prescriptions, or surgery if conservative measures aren't enough.Check Out: A Massive Fire Broke Out In Noida Sector 32: Latest Updates
