On 1st February, 2022, the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be presenting the Union Budget 2022-23. The budget is being presented at a time when the country is slowly recovering from the economic crisis. The Industry experts have quoted what they expect the budget to inculcate for a smooth and hassle free financial year.
Dr Naresh Trehan, Chairman-MD of Medanta Hospital said that, “The Union Budget should have provisions for incremental budgeting for healthcare services so that the health sector can upgrade the infrastructure and be ready to protect the nation from the onslaught of any disease that comes down.” The demand to increase the proportion of health in the budget isn’t asked for the first time. The pandemic has shown that it is the need of the hour.
The Fintech Industry Experts have also expected inclusion for a smooth financial recovery. The Real-Estate Sector expects a cut in the taxation to boost sales. Incentives for Research and Development is an expectation in this year’s budget by the Pharma sector, whereas the small businesses and MSME’s expect easier access to capital at lower interest rates.
