Weather Updates: Rain alert in these parts of the country
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted rain in some districts of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal on Thursday.
After the cyclonic storm Asani that hit the coastal areas of Odisha, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh, there have been many changes in the weather here.
In the latest bulletin of IMD, the weather system remained practically stable during the last six hours and has weakened into a pressure area. It is very likely to turn into a low pressure area during the next 12 hours.
Wind speed reaching 65 kmph gusting to 45-55 kmph very likely over Krishna, East and West Godavari districts of Andhra Pradesh and Yanam in Puducherry during next 12 hours. During the same period, wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph is very likely to occur over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining districts.
