Weather Updates: Heavy rain may occur in these parts of the country for the next five days, IMD issued an alert
The Meteorological Department also informed that there is no possibility of heat wave in any part of the country during the next 5 days except West Rajasthan.

The weather remained pleasant on Tuesday after heavy rain in the national capital Delhi on Monday night. Due to this, the people of Delhi-NCR have got relief from the heat. At the same time, today once again the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of severe rain in Northwest India on 24 May and in East India during the next 2 days.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in isolated parts of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The Meteorological Department said that rain and thundershowers are expected in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal and Sikkim during the next 3 days and in Northeast India during the next 5 days. Moderate rain and lightning likely over Kerala and Mahe during next 5 days.
The Meteorological Department said that there may be rain in many different parts of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, North Madhya Pradesh today. After this, the rain activity in these states will reduce from May 25. Today there is a possibility of heavy rain in Odisha on May 24 and in Assam and Meghalaya on May 27 and 28. IMD has warned of Thunderstorm (50-60 kmph) with hailstorm activity over Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha for today.
