Weather Update : There is a possibility of rain in Delhi for the next three days

There is a possibility of rain in the country's capital Delhi from Thursday. The Meteorological Department has predicted moderate rain or thundershowers in the capital in the next three days. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the monsoon is likely to continue to move northwards gradually. Due to this, rain activities will increase in North India from Wednesday.

Delhi's primary weather station, Safdarjung Observatory, has so far recorded 232.8 mm of rain against the normal of 183.3 mm in July.Talking about the season, since the beginning of the monsoon season from June 1, 257.3 mm of rain has been recorded as against the normal 257.4 mm.

On Wednesday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.7 and the maximum temperature was 34.6 Celsius, which is normal for this time of the year. According to the Meteorological Bureau, the maximum temperature is likely to remain below 34 degree Celsius for the next six days. On the other hand, the hill state of Himachal Pradesh is also expected to receive heavy rains in the next few days, which may disrupt essential services and cause flash floods.

The State Meteorological Department said that the rain-related activity is expected to pick up from July 28 to 30. Moderate to heavy rain is expected in Shimla, Bilaspur, Sirmaur, Solan, Una, Hamirpur, Kangra, Mandi, Kullu, Chamba and adjoining areas during the next 48 to 72 hours. Moderate to heavy rain is expected in some parts of Lahaul-Spiti and Kinnaur during the next 48 hours. During this, there is a possibility of flash floods in some parts of both the districts.
