Weather Update : Heavy rain alert in 11 states of the country: 3 inches of rain in 2 hours in Bhopal
More than 4 inches of rain was recorded in Ajmer on Friday. This is the highest rainfall in Ajmer in the last 11 years. After the rain, many parts of Ajmer city were inundated with water.
There is a good news about monsoon. The Meteorological Department has said that the average rainfall in the country is expected to be between 94% and 106% in July. Here, on the first day of July, rain clouds rained in Sikar, Churu and Ajmer in Rajasthan and Mumbai in Maharashtra. At the same time, 3.2 inches of water fell in Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh in two hours. It didn't rain as much for the whole of June as it did in a day. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain even today.
Monsoon arrived late in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, but heavy rains have started everywhere from the first day of July. Somewhere the farmers are seen to be benefiting, while the pictures of floods and destruction have also come to the fore.
In 24 hours till Friday afternoon, 5.5 inches of water had fallen in Narmadapuram, 5 inches in Betul, 4.5-4.5 inches in Dewas, Sehore, Ujjain, Ashoknagar, Mandsaur 3-3 inches. Tawa Dam of Narmadapuram increased by 5 feet in 30 hours. Apart from this, the water level increased due to release of water from Satpura Dam of Betul.
Monsoon reached the state late by 8 days and is on a high. On Friday, a flood-like situation was created in Churu's Rajgarh, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Ajmer due to the inundation of roads. More than 4 inches of rain was recorded in Ajmer on Friday. This is the highest rainfall in Ajmer in the last 11 years. After the rain, many parts of Ajmer city were inundated with water.
