Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has announced setting up a 'Cow Cabinet' for the protection and promotion of cattle in the state.

Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has said that he is setting up a 'Cow Cabinet' for the protection and promotion of cattle in the state.
Announcing it from his Twitter handle @ChouhanShivraj, he tweeted, "It has been decided to set up a 'cabinet' for the protection and promotion of cattle in the state."
Chouhan said that Animal Husbandry, Forest, Panchayat and Rural Development, Revenue, Home and Farmers Welfare Department will be included in the Cow Cabinet.
"The first meeting will be held on November 22 at 12 noon on Gopashtami at Gau Sanctuary, Agar Malwa," he added.
During his previous regime as CM, his government had set up India’s first cow sanctuary and funds were sanctioned for it but it was privatized later on due to lack of financial resources. It is believed that the CM is trying to revive it now.
