Watch: Female Fan Beats Up Spectator as Massive Brawl Erupts During DC vs MI IPL 2025 Match

It was a Sunday when MI finally ended their losing jinx as DC fell headlong into a most curious collapse in the 19th over, played out at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday. An exciting IPL 2025 fixture, MI was taken to 205/5 with the help of a blistering 33-ball 59 by Tilak Varma, and was chasing down 206 runs. DC were in a pretty comfortable position at one point, when Nair (89) dished out the MI bowlers with absolute ease, as the innings started for him. However, after a fortunate falling out, in the 12th over, it all came crashing down, and with the losing of that wicket, DC, unfortunately, got carried away by an unexpected tide. Then finally, as was Nair’s habit, Bumrah created some magic in the 19th over, scorning three chances of a final three-ball hat-trick run-out in the dying moments as they collapsed post-193. Not only did this game feature ongoing viewing imitations, but fans also had a large fight in the stands.

The incident seems to have gone viral on social media, and a section of the video shows a female fan beating up another person. The reasons for the rowdy behavior are not clear and remain unknown.

Nair was acquired for ₹50 lakhs during the mega auction, after a remarkable domestic season where he topped the run charts in the 2024 Vijay Hazel Trophy with a cumulative run tally of 779 runs consisting of five centuries at a strike rate of 124. He was also very much dominant in the Ranji Trophy, aggregating 863 runs for winners Vidarbha on an average of 53.94, whereas, at Syed Mustaq Ali, hoisted 255 runs in just six innings with a strike rate of 177.08. Meanwhile, in the first Maharaja Trophy, he had 560 runs with a strike rate of 181.82 to top the chart of the tournament.

Speaking after the match, Nair said, “I felt confident. I felt like, you know, I'm well prepared to play in the IPL if given the opportunity. So it was all about me preparing the way that I've been all through the season and waiting for my chance. So I was doing my bit to prepare and be ready for the game. It's always a tough call for the team to pick 11 or 12 players, and I've always respected that. For me, it was about preparing and keeping the same process that I followed, which has worked for me, and just being ready to go out there and perform for the team.”
