The elections are approaching across various states and leaders from Political Parties are not shying away from bashing the leaders from the Opposition. Aam Aadmi Party chief and the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal today took a dig at the Congress Party. The elections are approaching across various states and leaders from Political Parties are not shying away from bashing the leaders from the Opposition. Aam Aadmi Party chief and the Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal today took a dig at the Congress Party. He mentioned that "Casting a vote for Congress in Goa will mean an "indirect vote" for the BJP, given the trend of Congressmen joining the ruling party. The battle in Goa, therefore, is between the AAP and the BJP."
Kejriwal urged the citizens of Goa to vote the BJP out. He stated, "The people of Goa have a choice between AAP and BJP. If you want a clean, honest government, you can vote for AAP. The other option is to vote for the BJP directly or indirectly. Indirect voting is when you vote for the Congress, that Congressman will win and go to the BJP."
In Goa, the Congress party emerged victorious in the previous election. Congress was the single largest party in the election with 17 MLAs, but now it has merely two. Most of the rest have joined the BJP after it formed the government in the state. Kejriwal took a dig at the Congress Party and stated that they aren't better than the BJP at all. From the coastal state, all the 40 candidates of AAP signed a legally enforceable loyalty pledge, promising not to defect and provide a clean, corruption-free government if elected.
