Voting continues for Rajya Sabha elections, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot casts his vote
Voting has begun for two Rajya Sabha seats in Haryana. Kuldeep Bishnai is among the first to reach the polls. Along with the MLAs of all parties including BJP and Congress, independent MLAs are also engaged in making consultation and strategy for the elections since morning.

Voting has started in 4 states for 16 seats of Rajya Sabha. The results of 41 out of 57 seats have already been declared. The states where elections are to be held include Rajasthan, Haryana, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. The contest is interesting on 1-1 seat in all the states. The most interesting contest is in Rajasthan and Haryana where the BJP, with the help of independent candidates, is trying to spoil the game of the Congress.
The Congress, battling the fear of cross-voting, was forced to move its MLAs to safer places in both these states. The challenges are no less for the BJP either. The BJP also had to barricade its MLAs in Rajasthan. In Maharashtra, BJP's third candidate has become a challenge for Mahavikas Aghadi, while in Karnataka BJP and Congress are trying to spoil the game of JDS. Now the time has come for the decision. Voting continues. It will be decided by evening whose strategy was successful.
