Both wrote in a statement on their Instagram account that they did not know that the camera went on them during the match.
Virat and Anushka wrote in their statement, "Yesterday the pictures of our daughter were clicked in the stadium and after that they were shared a lot. We want to tell everyone that we did not know that the camera was on us. Our stand on this matter is the same. We would appreciate it if we do not click/publish Vamika's photos for the reasons mentioned earlier."
Pictures of Virat and Anushka's daughter from the ODI match played in Cape Town, South Africa on 23 January went viral when Virat Kohli dedicated his half-century to daughter Vamika and went towards Anushka Sharma sitting in the camera stand. This was the first time that Kohli's daughter's face has been exposed in public, as Kohli and Anushka had requested the media not to reveal her identity after the daughter's birth.
