Viral Video: Self-Styled Punjab Pastor Bajinder Singh Assaults Woman Holding Baby

Viral Video: Self-proclaimed preacher and pastor from Punjab Bajinder Singh, who alone is facing a sexual harassment case, is now at the center of attention with fresh allegations after an alleged video showing him assaulting a woman had gone viral on social media.

In the video that surfaced online, Singh is seen throwing a pile of papers on a woman sitting with a child in his office, among several others. Seconds later, the woman walks up to him, and he seems to shove her.

Tension further escalates as the two are seen engaging in some bickering, while the others present inside the office stand up to separate the two to prevent any other physical conflict from happening. Nevertheless, Singh and the woman seem to continue having a heated conversation with one another.

Sexual Harassment Case Against Bajinder Singh

This comes just a week after Singh appeared with six other accused persons in a Punjab Mohali Court regarding the 2018 case of sexual harassment.

NBWs (non-bailable warrants) were issued against Singh on March 3.

Singh runs a church at Majri and was arrested at the Delhi airport on July 20, 2018, for 'raping' a woman of Zirakpur. Police arrested him when he was just about to leave for boarding a flight to London.

The victim alleged that Singh came in contact with her in 2017 and lured her. According to the police, she had become a part of his volunteer team that secured his events.

The victim alleged that Singh raped her at his Mohali house and even taped the act, threatening to put it online if she filed a complaint or did not comply with his demands. Finally, in April 2018, she lodged a police complaint against him, after which Singh went into hiding.

On 2 March, an FIR for a different sexual harassment case against Singh was registered in Jalandhar.

The self-styled preacher is presently on bail in the Zirakpur case. There has been no police arrest in connection with the Jalandhar case, with a senior officer of Mohali stating that he did not receive any notification regarding that from his Jalandhar counterparts.
