Chandripura Virus is the new infectious virus emerging that has caught the global attention of health experts. named after the town of Maharashtra Chandripura where it was first identified in 1965, this virus presents a new threat to the health of people.

In Gujrat, almost 6 children are suspected of dying due to this disease in the past 5 Days and the number is expected to be doubled by the time the article is being written.

The virus is believed to be zoonotic which means it originated from animals and is being transferred to humans by coming in contact directly or indirectly to sandflies, ticks, and mosquitoes.
