Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has congratulated Vinod Kumar for winning the Bronze medal. Vinod created a new Asian record with his personal best throw of 19.91 meters. he started with a throw of 17.46m, Second 18.32m, third 17.80m, fourth 19.12m, fifth 19.91m, and sixth 19.81m. His best throw was 19.91m in the fifth attempt.

New Delhi: Discus Thrower Vinod Kumar gave India another medal from the athletics arena. Minutes after the silver medal-winning performance of Nishad Kumar in the High Jump, Vinod Kumar won a Bronze medal in the men's Discus Throw event in the F52 category. Sunday has proved a lucky day for Indian athletes participating in the Tokyo Paralympic Games2020. India got three medals, Two Silver and a Bronze, to celebrate super Sunday in style. In the morning Paddler Bhavina Ben Patel has won a Silver medal in the women's Table Tennis event.
