Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale died at the age of 77

Veteran actor of Hindi and Marathi cinema Vikram Gokhale passed away on Wednesday late evening at the age of 82. His health was going bad for several days. Close sources said that he was admitted in Pune hospital for 15 days and his health had worsened on Wednesday. Vikram Gokhale did a lot of work on theater along with Hindi and Marathi cinema. He played important roles in many hit and memorable films.

According to media reports, the veteran actor was not responding to treatment and was put on ventilator. His body will be kept at Balgandharva Sabhagraha in Mumbai for the last darshan. Many celebs have paid tribute through social media on the death of Veteran actor.

Ajay Devgan wrote on Twitter – Vikram Gokhale Sir made the characters weighty with his acting. His stature in cinema has always been high. I am fortunate to have got a chance to share the screen with him. His passing is very sad. I pray that his soul rests in peace. Regards Vikram sir. My condolences to the family.

Vikram Gokhale was born on 14 November 1945 in Poona. His father Chandrakant Gokhale was a well-known actor in Marathi films and theatre. He worked in about 70 Hindi and Marathi films. At the same time, his grandmother Kamalabai Gokhale is considered the first child artist of Indian cinema.
