Uttarakhand: PMO took cognizance of the death of devotees in Chardham Yatra
The Health Department sent its reply to the Prime Minister's Office. This includes details of the causes of death as well as the arrangements made by the government regarding health services on the travel routes. It was also informed that health advisory has been issued for the pilgrims coming to Chardham.

The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has taken cognizance of the death of devotees coming on Chardham Yatra due to heart attack. The Prime Minister's Office has sought details about 21 deaths in Chardham till late Tuesday evening.
At present, the crowd of devotees is increasing in the Chardham Yatra in the state, which includes people of all age groups. In the first seven days of the journey itself, 21 persons have died.
According to sources, the health department has attributed the death of the passengers to the lack of oxygen in the travel route. Along with this, information about the health services being provided by the government on the travel route has also been given.
