Uttarakhand: 25 killed, 50 people on board after bus fell into gorge in Pauri Garhwal
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has visited the Disaster Management Authority office in Dehradun to take stock of the situation after the bus accident in Pauri.

According to the information, a bus carrying 45-50 people fell into a gorge in the Birkhal area of Pauri district of Uttarakhand, killing 25 people. The bus, which was on its way from Laldhang towards a village in Birkhal for the wedding ceremony, met with an accident near Simri Mor.

Rescue operations were launched at night with the help of local people, but due to darkness, the rescue workers had to face difficulties. Witnesses said that there was no lighting system at the accident site. The villagers searched the people with the help of flashlight of their mobile phone.
Police-administration officials have reached the accident spot. Ambulances, life-saving equipment have also been sent to the spot for rescue work.
