According to Vishal Singh Chauhan associated with Aaj Tak, this case is of Tajpur village of Bangaram area of Unnao. Villagers told that on the evening of Sunday, September 25, some sadhus gathered near a temple in the village. Together they started worshiping. A big pit was dug. On seeing, the youth of his own village, Shubham, was thrown into this pit. On enquiry, it came to know that Shubham is taking samadhi. And after the worship, this pit will be completely closed in some time. After this the villagers informed the police.
Giving information about the incident to Aaj Tak, Pankaj Kumar Singh, the jurisdictional officer (CO) of Bangarmau said, “Shubham, a youth from Tajpur village who believes in rituals, came in contact with some priests a few days back. These priests tricked him that if he takes samadhi, he will get siddhi. A day before Navratri, Shubham was made to sit by digging a pit in the ground and pouring soil from above. The villagers informed this at the police station. The staff of the local police station immediately swung into action and reached the spot.”
