Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar has thanked film stars and others who have supported her stand after actress Kangana Ranaut called her a "soft porn star" of the 90s in a television interview.
Matondkar on September 18, tweeted, "Thank you the “Real People of India” and a rare breed of unbiased, dignified media for standing by me. It’s Your victory over fake IT trolls n propaganda. Deeply touched..humbled."
Matondkar, like many other actors, criticized Kangana for calling Mumbai "Pakistan-occupied Kashmir". Matondkar also alleged that her statement on nepotism and the use of illegal drugs in Bollywood was incorrect.
In response to that, Kangana called Matondkar a "soft porn star" in a television interview.
However, many actors came forward in support of Matondkar for her "grace and dignity" in 25 years' career.
