UPSC Civil Services Prelims Result 2024: The names of the candidates who have qualified for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examinations 2024 which was held on June 16 have finally been announced.

The UPSC Civil Services Prelims result contains the names and roll numbers of the candidates who have passed the exam. Candidates who have appeared for the UPSC Prelims exam can visit the official website of UPSC i.e. upsc.gov.in to check their results.

As per the reports over 13 lakh students appeared for the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2024 which was held in two shifts. Of these 13 lakh candidates only 14, 627 candidates were able to pass the UPSC CSE Prelims 2024.

The official notice shared by the Union Public Service Commission reads, “In continuation of the press note dated 01/07/2024 declaring the roll number wise result of the Civil Services (preliminary) examination, 2024 held on 16/06/2024, the name and roll number wise result of the candidates who have qualified for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2024, is as under.”

Many educators said that the UPSC CSE Prelims 2024 exam was easier than the one in 2023 as this year there were fewer pair-type questions.

How to check the name and roll number in UPSC CSE Prelims 2024?

To check your name and roll number you need to follow the below-mentioned steps:

• First, visit the official website of UPSC i.e. upsc.gov.in.
• On the homepage, select the ‘What’s New’ section then click on the ‘Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2024’ link then click on ‘Written exam.’
• After doing the above process, you will be redirected to a page where the PDF files containing the names and the roll numbers of the candidates will be displayed. Click on the PDF file displayed on your screen and check your name and roll number.
• For future reference download the page and also keep a hard copy of it.

However, the Union Public Service Commission through this Preliminary exam plans to fill 1,056 jobs in different central government services and offices such as IAS, IPS, IFS and many others positions.
