According to the Live Law report, Justice V Kameswara Rao said that "I am not inclined to interfere in the decision. I am dismissing the petition. I will pass the order". Significantly, in the petition filed by the candidates who passed the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2021 (Pre), there was a demand to postpone the Mains examination in view of the current Covid-19 situation in the country.
The petitioner candidates submitted that they are at risk of getting infected as well as losing their valuable attempt, which is also the last attempt for some candidates to appear in the examinations.
