Senior advocate Ranjit Kumar argued on behalf of the Uttar Pradesh government on the petition for pollution in Delhi-NCR. He said, "Industries which are in Uttar Pradesh, the air flow is on their side. Polluted air does not go towards Delhi. The polluted air coming from Pakistan is responsible for spoiling the air of Delhi. On the other hand, The sugarcane and milk industry of Uttar Pradesh has been affected due to the eight-hour restriction.
After the Supreme Court's rebuke, all schools in Delhi will remain closed from today. The Delhi government took this decision after a hearing on Thursday. When the schools will be opened, the government has not yet made it clear. The Supreme Court had reprimanded the Delhi government and said that when the employees have been given work from home, then why are the children being forced to go to school. The court gave 24 hours to the Centre, Delhi and the government of neighboring states. It was said that if strict steps are not taken to reduce pollution, then the Supreme Court will constitute a task force.
